Any reason why the scrolling nes version wasn't chosen?Time constraints?

YES
I don't like NES.
The original ZX version is more lovely (these NES gfx suck) and furthermore I ported the game to 3 platforms at once (C64,CPlus4,VIC20).

Hahah, I actually like the NES graphics, but holy cow, I LOVE the fact that you're developing this game for my 3 favorite vintage platforms! Amazing that you have the courage to do that!Majikeyric wrote:YES

It might look sparse but anymore entities and the game would be even more difficult, perhaps making the game not fun as it's already quite difficult. Some of the sparse areas have hazards when moving along(running, jumping) and it's difficult to navigate through those scenes, adding more entities to avoid would be overly frustrating to the point of making the game insanely difficult. This is one of those game were more doesn't equal better. It seems to be balanced quite well especially for a homebrew game, give it a real play if you have time and are interested.
