Hi,

This is a new game I made last year - Operation: Labyrinth Fall. Its a metroidvania style game made in AGD. Thought it was about time to release it out to the community

Works on both 128k and 48k, but you will want 128k to get the AY music

I'm not sure if new games are still being added to WoS but feel free to upload this game wherever

A very nice tidy game , i like the pace , the character and the screen variation , if a game was released of this quality back in the 84/85 years it would have easily got 80% plus in crash

I like it - I like how it plays; it responds well, and collision detection is always fair. I particularly like the moving enemies that go fast, but pause at the ends of their travel. And also how there are three character squares between vertical enemies, not two, so there's no pixel-perfect-panicking required to stand in the gaps.

Two criticisms though:

1) The 'drill' key does not get mapped to a joystick control, even though 'up' and 'down' are available.

2) A bit of back-tracking in this sort of game is expected, but this seems a bit too blatant to me. First there's a red door, so you need to go off, find the red key, and come back. But then behind the red door is a gadget that means you have to then go all the way back to where you found the red key and do those levels again, then back again with another key, and so on, doing the same screens over and over. Whereas popular commercial games of this sort use a localised 'hub' area, with locked doors leading off that, so you don't have to back-track quite so far every time.

Completed this today and i really enjoyed it loads , especially once you get the jet pack .

Good game, thanks ... just found 2 places where can be stucked in the wall or entered at unexpected way. This is that game what is enough 'hard' to enjoy playing nowadays. 9 lives are very fair but think one is enough :)

And today I've just played some more. Got the D and the J items now.

There are some rooms where you can get a bit stuck using the J item, for example going up in the room 2 left from the J location.

Still haven't finished but this is really nice.
