This is a homebrew game, run on Gameboy Color. Original version: Wayne Alan Maw - Blue Ribbon Software Ltd., Commodore 16/Plus4, 1985. Created with GB-Studio 2.0.0 beta5!

Also available for download in .CIA format for the Nintendo 3DS virtual console!

You are the maintenance man just arrived from Earth. Your task is to repair the leaking air pipes in caverns under the Moon's surface, which supply the scientists of COLONY 11, a research station. There are inhabitants of the underground caverns which are indestructable, so must be avoided. To help you avoid them you are wearing a jet-pack, enabling you to fly over them. Press "B" to take off. You can't use the jet-pack on the surface. To repair the pipes, you are carrying a plasma laser which when fired underneath the pipe engulfs the leak and seals it. If you leave the screen without repairing all the leaks, on returning to that screen the repaired ones, not will appear again. The air tanks on the Moon's surface can be used to replenish your air supply (+5 by each attempt), by plugging in to them. Your air indicator (on the top of the screen) will show how much air you have. CAUTION - DO NOT OVERFILL!
The game ends if you run out of air or lives. With every level you complete an extra life is gained. You lose a life if you come into contact with any inhabitant, so be warned. When all the leaking air pipes have been repaired, then that round is completed. A bonus will be added to your score, the next round then increases speed of  leaking air making it harder to complete. GOOD LUCK!

I am scheduling videos at the moment for the channel and this one will release on 15th May at 4pm (UK) just so you know Rajcsányi.  I am not going to be around that day to post details hence the heads up.

However I had to come here to notify you and also say congrats, this is simply brilliant.  The video goes on for about 20 minutes, but this one is a literal time-sink and you've hit the ball out the park with this conversion.

Thank you for all your hard work to the scene.

I play these on the MiSTer FPGA with the GBC core.  If I had an original GBC with a flashcart, this game would absolutely be an addition to the "must have" portable collection.

Well, that's very kind of you. You know what makes me happy the most? The fact that you have to wait for it, because it always has an emotional side. It's like waiting for a Christmas present when you were little. Thank you for always being able to count on your videos and for enjoying my games. An idea: There are Jams on itch.io. Many of these have very talented people making games. They would certainly be happy if you offered to sponsor the Jam by making a video of the first 3 winning games. Then more visitors would come to your channel, especially if a Jam has a lot of starters. There will also be one now (https://itch.io/jam/game-boy-showdown-2023) maybe you should contact them about the idea.

Great idea and thank you - I will reach out to them. :)

Thanks for the video, maybe we should give each game a different name, according to these, we can give this game the wrong button name. :) I also put this video of yours on the website under the game. I'll tell you a secret, try it. :) For games made in Gameboy Studio, characters are usually 16x16 pixels. The lower part of the sprite (ie the 16x8 area) monitors the collision. You die when you and the enemy's 16x8 area touch. That's why you can climb the stairs, but even if your head hits the enemy, you won't die, because the enemy's lower 16x8 area was in contact with your upper 16x8 area. Thank you very much for the experience once again!

Thanks for the cheat tips !

Always a pleasure to do your games and just back from travelling.  Thank you for putting the video on the website - really appricahted.

My favorite part of this game is the graphics

(+1)

The best thing about these graphics is that when we played them as kids, we didn't like them, but now I look at them with great pleasure. I find something to admire in each of them.

Why didn't you like them at first?

(+1)

Because I was 12 at the time and I liked Last Ninja better. :)

Is that the one for NES?

(+1)

No, the Commodore 64 version. I didn't even know it was made for NES, I'll check it out.
