In this 1989 LCD video game from Konami your mission is to defend your country from enemy attack over hostile waters. It's just you against them. And to survive you'll need more than speed and firepower. You'll need guts and instinct. You'll need to be a TOP GUN pilot!
You'll begin the dogfight with 3 of the Navy's sleekest supersonic fighters. To complete your mission you must survive 3 gueling combat stages. Every 90 seconds you'll soar into a more dangerous stage so long as you still have a fighter to pilot.
A fighter is destroyed when its energy gauge reaches empty. Each time you fail to blast an enemy plane, ship or missile, a portion of the gauge will disappear. The gauge will also reduce every 16 seconds, no matter how hot of a shot you are.
To defend yourself zero in on the enemy by lining up your Missile Sight with the approaching enemy and blast them out of the sky. Score 10 points for a Scavenger Fighter, 30 points for an Anti-Peacekeeping Battle Cruiser and 100 points for a Death-Tipped Missile.
In two player mode, play alternates between each pilot every time a fighter is shot down, until one of the players loses all their fighters.
