Game History

• This platformer is based on a line of Bandai's pocketzaurus stationary product robotic dinosaur toys.
• The toys were also released in France and Germany as Diplodos.
• In cooperation with Bandai, a French/Japanese Diplodos animation series was made, which was then translated into English.

1. You'll want to have a fully translated manual. The manual contains crossword puzzles, one for each level.
   If you answer a whole puzzle, which has clues based on things in the game, it gives a clue as to what to do to defeat the final boss.
2. When you play the game, it gives you in game quizzes that, if you get them right, give you bonuses.
3. When you beat the optional mini-bosses in each level, the game gives you a clue that allows you to get a clue from that level's boss.
   If collect all the clues from the level bosses it will tell you what you need to do to defeat the final boss.
4. Whenever you die without having a Continue Mark, you will be given the option to face the final boss.
   You can do this to practice fighting the final boss, but you'll never win unless you've defeated all the level bosses.

Patch Features

• A large amount of translated text for a platformer; all text fit into the original ROM without expansion through use of DTE compression
• Special fonts for screaming and boss names
• A partially translated html manual
  Unfortunately, no one wanted to translate the whole thing, so we've included what we have. I appreciate all those who have worked on it. Please help us finish it.
  Also, now that we have back of box scans, a translation of the box would be nice.
• Partially translated crosswords
  Since no one was able to fill in all the answers, we haven't been able to translate it. Please help us fill in all the Japanese answers so that we can attempt to translate it.

Shinji Hashimoto
The Bandai employee who you are supposed to be playing in the game.
He now works for Square-Enix. The first game he produced for them was Front Mission.

In Future World you will battle some of these toys as enemies. We've made a table to try to match the characters in the game to the toys.

Bandai released the toys in France as Diplodo.
C&D (Créativité et Développement) made an entire anime series based on the toys.

Project History

• All the text that we are sure is actually used in the game has been verified by displaying it in the game.
• RadicalR and Lord Oddeye started beta testing.

• Even when the beta testing is complete, we would prefer to not release the game until the manual is fully translated.

• The text for this game always consists of 3 lines, each with their own pointer. To fit the English text, we've modified the code so that it displays each of these lines as a double line.
• Table Dumper was modified to handle multiple pointers to the same block of text. Our first incomplete script was inserted.

• To actually get this project done, this project has now transitioned into a joint project with Stardust Crusaders.
• The Title screen hack completed.
• The in-game kanji graphics were changed to English.
• English font inserted
• Kanji font tiles translated and inserted
• Complicated multiple nested pointer structure figured out
