The Blade Libraries, a set of C programming libraries for the Playstation, are ready for a first release.
They've been designed to be easy to use, and unlike Yaroze and PsyQ they're legal and free.
This is a beta release, but the libraries are fairly advanced:
  • Automated install
  • Useful auxiliary tools
  • Double buffering support
  • Simplified Ordering Table usage
  • Comprehensive 2D Graphics support
  • Most GPU primitives implemented
  • Play sound effects
  • Support for MOD music files
  • Preliminary 3D support
  • Documentation and example source code
The MIPSGCC compiler and auxiliary tools are for Windows 95 upwards.
Grab them from the Downloads page and let me know how you get on at blade@ip3.com.

  01 July 2001 - Web site open
