Ceti 22 New front end

Front end made from SEUCK Title Screen Maker

The New Dimension is very proud to present to you the SEUCK Title Screen Maker. A fun tool which can help you make cool new front ends and link them to your very own standalone games, created with the Shoot Em Up Construction Kit or the Sideways Scrolling SEUCK on the Commodore 64.

The editor requires no coding knowledge, but in order to link the title screen to your game you will need a reset/freezer cartridge or plugin, such as the Action Replay/Retro Replay cartridge - or Super Snapshot (Or just use soft reset and the VICE Monitor, and a cross-platform cruncher like Exomizer. using $6580 as jump address).

The S.E.U.C.K Title screen maker consists of the following features:

Tutorial videos

Part 1/3: Example of SEUCK games and making a new front end for CETI 22

Part 2/3: Linking the new front end to CETI 22.

Please take note: When you decide to use method 2 or method 3. Make sure you follow the process of loading in the game and the new title screen, then save from memory. Otherwise if you run the front end, there is a chance you might get unwanted sprites appear at the top border.

Part 3/3: Adding in game enhancements to CETI 22.

Other SEUCK Title Screen Maker tutorial videos and experiments will appear in my YouTube channel in the future in my channel playlist here.

Eariler on, I was asked if it is possible to be able to load in existing text and colour assets from title screens that were made with version 1.5/V1.5+ of the SEUCK Title Screen Maker. I can confirm that it is possible. However you will need either an Action Replay / Retro Replay cartridge or a Machine Code Monitor.

HINT:

To save existing text from Version 1.5/V1.5+ use:

S "TEXTANDCOLOUR",8,7160,7660

S "SCROLLTEXT",8,AA00,ACC0

To load existing text (Credits + colour and scroll text) from version 1.5/1.5+ use:

L "TEXTANDCOLOUR",8,728A

L "SCROLLTEXT",8,AA00

If using VICE, use:
S "TEXTANDCOLOUR" 1 7160 7669
S "SCROLLTEXT" 1 AA00 ACC0
L "TEXTANDCOLOUR" 1 728A
