"Great production values, game design and story telling that blend so well together to provide a highly engaging and rewarding gameplay experience. This is a smash hit! - 95%" (RGN Review)

THE ISLE OF THE CURSED PROPHET is a game for the Commodore 64. You can play the game in a C64 emulator (we recommend VICE) or you can port the game onto real C64 hardware if you have the resources to do so.

The download file features the .d64 (disk version), .tap (tape version) and .prg (c64 program files). The files included in the download have been tested on and work perfectly on the C64Mini/Maxi systems.

Note: The cost of this purchase does NOT include VAT. The VAT will be added on during the checkout process, the amount of VAT varies depending on the VAT rates that apply to the country you are ordering from.

Very nice Zelda clone! Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 00:21:49. Subscription to our YouTube or Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

I loved the game so much! Thank you for your excellent work! The manual was incredible. Sometimes I hated too much rapidly spawning monsters. It's a joystick killer game. But my only real problem was with the outro. You wrote it's SD2IEC compatible and there was no problem until the last load. SD2IEC signaled error and I couldn't watch the outro. I had to find a walkthrough video cause I wanted to watch that last scene and the credits. These were my rewards for the more than 5 hours I put into the game. Please correct this if you can! Even with this problem I sent 5 stars.

Had this on my to play list and finally got it - Fun game ! Great work

I see this had a update 6 days ago from the time i am writing this. I already purchased the digital version, about 80 days ago.

Whats new in this version, is there a change log someplace?

Just finished the game.  It was fantastic.  It did take me a while to figure out navigating the island.  Probably would have helped had I used the drawing in the manual for reference, hah.  Once I finally got my bearings though I started rolling on through to completion.  The end gameplay is very intense and really thought the final cutscene was awesome.  Probably best played with a gamepad.  Got some real Joystick Thumb on my left hand from using a CX-40 :).  Thanks!

Great GAME! I love it! C=64 Rules!

Thank you for this great experience! One of the best games I have ever played on the C64. I was stuck at the end for almost 2 hours, having no idea how to get the bombs to work.. Error was on my end. My zipstick had auto-fire turned on, making it impossible to keep the button pressed to release the bomb. (On the other hand, the autofire was great for cutting grass and killing enemies!)

wow what an amazing game but that parrot is a little bugga lmao!

Hey! :) Had control issues for an hour, figured out the problem was my Joystick, or related to it! :) Finally can start playing this wonderful game! Good heavens, that's a great introduction in the manual!! Great work, I love when a manual is more than "Here is how it works. ".

:) Anyway, sweet stuff, have been looking forward to this!

I just finished the game.
Fantastic game!!

Congrats on completing the game, glad you enjoyed it.

This is an absolutely fantastic game.

I only wonder how to save and load game saves. F7 for save?

Anyway. I really enjoy the game. 5 stars from me!

Thank you very much. Now I will continue to enjoy this great game  👍

good luck ;)

I just completed the game. It took me almost 5 hours. If I was more attentive I would finish it faster  :) It's awsome in every single aspect!

After Legend of Atlantis and Shadow over the Hawksmill, it's another marvelous production. Don't stop and bring us next beatiful games :) I personally can't wait!

Congratulations on finishing the game,  good to hear you enjoyed it. We've got plenty more in the pipeline.

Sorry for this stupid question, because i have no clue about programming and filesize etcetera... But... Is there any Chance for a cartridge Version?

It's always a possibility but there's currently no plans to do it sorry,

No sorry for me, sorry for you. ;)

But anyway, thanks for answering. :)

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1g5mjyV-fOf_XaKHWu3N3pKhFiNvHwz_C/view?usp=shari... use this to make a bin from a prg and make this https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/Universal_C64_1MB_cartridge.html. all you need is an eprom programer

Such fun!!
Great job on the game.

The manual gives me some strong Clive Barker's Undying-vibes. Games like this one are the reason why I purchased a TheC64 Maxi. Well done!

edit: A very entertaining game, I really enjoy the exploration aspect. One thing: I find it a bit unfortunate to use the "Necronomicon" as a story premise for this game, it's way too overused in popular culture, and it should have been something more in the vein of celtic culture to fit the story. Just my two cents and only a detail. Other than that a very pleasurable experience. My map is already filled with anotations. :)

I had a great time working on the backstory / history of the island / adding the clues etc.  The necronomicon is a creation of H.P Lovecraft which this game is highly inspired by so including it was never in doubt, without him this game wouldnt exist. Good to hear you enjoyed it tho.

Hi, thanks for answering me! I'm a big admirer of the Master myself (I read all of his works and he inspired me too). I just have a bit difficulty to connect the book of the Mad Arab with the setting. Anyway, the game itself is brillant, the manual is written very well and the illustrations are well done too. It's fully worth the price asked in my opinion. I'm eager for your next games! :)

Woaw really impressive to see a real great Zelda like on c64!!! Thanks a lot for it

Congrats on your new release!
