Weekend Update

It's been a busy one. Episode 2 is now in playtesting / tweaking. A consistent colour scheme has been applied between Episodes One and Two.

Importantly, and in-keeping with the game that inspired this. The bonus games can now be selected to be played from the main menu, rather than having to play the main game...

... you'll still play the main game though, right?

This does mean that Sinclair Joysticks are back on the menu as a control option.

After tweaking and a few optimisations... Episode One's breakUp game's ball seems more reliable. Additionally, the extra optimisations puts the game to 25 screens of bricks to remove and counting.

A lot of tweaking and optimising has occurred on Episode Two's games, "FroggyToad" in particular needed a few repeated sections compressed into a single one. Possibly more room to optimise but I might hold off on that unless there's a game breaking bug in there. Quackman has had a few, small tweaks and a different maze. I'm not sure how I feel about the maze but it feels a better layout to the previous.

Over the next week I'll be catching bugs, correcting things that irk me (like the two menus should both say "Fire to Start Game"), adjusting the difficulty on some of the Episode Two rooms (some are overly complex and mean ... I did have a sinus thing that was affecting my brain when I designed them, but that's no excuse to leave them the way they are right now), and changing the objects to be collected in Episode Two.

Definitely can see the finishing line in the distance, so will get there and take a breather before moving onto the next project...
