Really really good. 10/10
If i wanted to be hyper picky, then i might mention the starfield looking a little off in places. No doubt because of how it was achieved. It might look better with no starfield.

My god, Mirage! You are a total powerhouse.

This game.. is stunning. I keep coming back to it to play more - I totally love it.

Stunning how you've done the logo, too.

The coding here is top-notch demo stuff - and it's a fantastic game at the same time.

Please do Pacland or Pitfall if we do this compo (or similar) again :-) (but, please, not in the Borders Only compo ...)

OMG. This is so awesome! The 1978 mode took me back to my childhood, playing on the original arcade machine. Lovely!

@DeeKay: My 4KB game "Sub Destroyer" (created for the "2004 MiniGame Compo") is also sprites-only and uses the sideborders. Of course, it pales in comparison with this game. "Sprite Invaders" is very, very impressive!

Very cool - gfx, sound and original game mechanics. Just that you sometimes cannot fully penetrate the barriers at some places is irritating.

Impressive working around the limitations. Especially the title screen.

Wow. That's just mental, an all border game! ;-) Only Peiselulli's Jar's Revenge has ever done that AFAIK. We were wondering about games that use sideborder the other day, and that's the only one we could come up with, any other candidates? ;-)

Wow all border! I only saw Horizon tried to make a sideborder game back in the days. This is really great! time to play space invaders!

Raistlin must be happy now that he doesn't have to spend that much money on stamps. Lars, superb work as always! A straight ten.

Just in this moment i thought, how cool a 2-player-simultan playing-mode for this game would be!

Mace: nah, there's always the New Game + option, restart with the same ending stats but with harder enemies.

Mirage just completed the last level of C64.
It's all finished now.

Truly impressing that you can actually make an all-border game with like zero rastertime for gameplay logics and music/sounds..

Then that title screen really rocks your socks off!!

In the title-picture, by steering left and right one after the other, the colors can be switched to the typical green/black of the old "Space Invaders" version. For going back to the other colors, steer up and then down.
